Day to day support of the St. Camillus Centre  (Ongoing)

Provided funds for the purchase and maintenance of a truck used for St. Camillus HIV/AIDS Home-based Care Centre.

Since 2007, proceeds from the Booking It Run have provided financial aid scholarships to 24 students.

Building school library collections  (Ongoing)

Provided donations of books to support school libraries in Lesotho.

St. Camillus Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children  (Completed January 2015 )

This new building will better meet the needs of the St. Camillus Centre.   The Centre will continue its vital services in the Mohales Hoek region by providing:

  • training space for HIV/AIDS home-based health care workers
  • temporary housing for orphans and vulnerable children
  • cooking and dining facilities to provide warm meals
  • space for teaching income generating activities (sewing & aloe cream)
  • agricultural and nutritional training
    • The land was donated by the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Mohales Hoek
    • Funds raised by TLC to date:  $50,000

Aspects of the Center’s sustainable design include solar water heating, trombe (passive solar) walls to heat the bathrooms, and raised beds for a vegetable garden.
