Joining a Committee

Note: TLC is based in Tacoma, Washington; however, we managed to collaborate with members as far away as Southern Africa and Afghanistan. If you have a heart for Lesotho, we will find a way to work together!

2013 Booking It Run/Walk Committee

Are you a runner, walker, and/or someone with a heart for helping with the run? Contact Shay or Kevin Glackin-Coley (kevinglackincoley@gmail.com) for information about how to get involved in organizing or assisting with the 2013 event.

Visit the Booking It Facebook page for information and photos from the 7th Annual Booking It: Cross Country Run/Walk

Youth in Philanthropy Committee

The Youth in Philanthropy initiative is an opportunity for young adults, such as high school students, to get involved in grassroots projects that foster social justice principles, leadership, and creative problem solving. We are never too young to make a difference! Those interested may also want to inquire about the Varsity Letter in Community Service through United Way. Past activities include fundraising projects such as creating holiday ornaments and staffing the sale booth. Youth members also serve as ambassadors and student leaders to promote philanthropic activities. We are happy to provide orientation and mentoring for individuals or groups.

St Camillus Committee

Are you adaptable, creative, and interested in working directly on a much needed new facility? Members of this committee collaborate with partners in Lesotho and work to raise resources for the construction of the new center. Tradespeople and fundraisers alike are needed to make this a success.

Helping with Special Skills & Short Term Projects

TLC needs help with photography, photo editing for web use, event planning, grant writing, printing, and technology assistance. If you have a gift to offer that is not mentioned here, please let us know – you may spark a great new project.

TLC is always in need of volunteers for its events and projects. If you would like to help out, please go to our contact page and put “VOLUNTEER” in your subject line and provide your basic contact information and we will follow up with you as soon as possible.
